My journey started at the beginning of 2015. After having 2 children, I was at my highest weight of 225 pounds. With an extensive family history of heart disease and a variety of cancers I knew something was going to have to be done- sooner rather than later. I saw the amount of medications, complications, doctors appointments, etc that were required to manage those health issues and I didn’t want to be a slave to that life if there was anything I could do about it.
