You can do this with any alcohol, but I have limited options when it comes to gluten free- hangover free alcohols and mezcal mixed it up justttt enough that it allowed me to keep from being a complete and total anti-social fitness nut.
This recipe is a delicious way to spice up ANY cocktail, but especially the mezcal.
Cayenne Simple Syrup:
1 teaspoon (more if you like it spicy) cayenne
1 tablespoon coconut sugar
3 tablespoons water
In a skillet, stir on medium high until blended well together, being careful to not burn. Pour into glass and let cool.
Fill up glass with ice. Add in mezcal (as strong as desired), top with Grapefruit La Croix, a few teaspoons of the cayenne simple syrup, and lime juice.
Shake, and enjoy 🙂
