On today’s podcast, I chat with Liz Smithers from Laka Living. She shares her 3 S’s of Success that we ALL need to take into consideration!
Emily [5:38]: (on wellness) It’s not just food, it’s not just supplements. It’s mind, body, and intuition.
When we find ourselves starting to get burned out, sleep, sex, and space are the 3 S’s that bring you back to yourself.
Liz [10:45]: Sleep is like free wellness. It’s the time when your brain detoxes what it doesn’t need from the day and resets itself.
When we don’t get enough of any of the 3 S’s, then we find ourselves out of balance. We need to take into account the needs of our body. Are we having a day where our body needs more sleep? Than maybe we should sleep in an extra 30 minutes or so. If we find ourselves without a sex drive, then we should look more into how we are treating our body and take a look into our health.
Liz [13:35]: You are going to know if you are doing everything right in terms of your lifestyle, fitness, and nutrition if your ability to tap into your sexual desire is accessible.
We also need to take into account our need for space. It’s okay to take time out for ourselves, away from others. We need to be okay with being alone. Sometimes our best ideas come during that time when we can tune out others. On top of that, we need to know when to say when with social media. It’s important to take breaks, turn off that phone.
Liz [21:10]: If you’re in a synergistic relationship with the world around you, you’re just going to feel more grounded.
One of the best ways to just feel better is to step outside. Get some some. Go barefoot on the ground. By becoming more connected with the Earth, we will become more intune with our own selves.
